A fireplace grate blower is a great way of getting more heat and more performance out of your fire without having to buy expensive equipment or take on extensive jobs. Fireplace grate blowers are very simple little units that fit at the bottom or front of your hearth and basically suck in are on one side, and blow it back out on the other. Fireplace Bellows: An Overview

Sometimes, it is the most simple of things that can make the biggest difference. For example, if you have started a fire before without a fireplace bellows, then you will probably have spent up to half an hour blowing on your embers and trying to get the fire going. If the wood was not absolutely dry and seasoned, you may have failed all together. While this is okay if you are only lighting one fire a year at Christmas while on vacation, but if you are considering using your hearth and having a real fire more frequently as a means of heating your home, then you will need a good pair of fireplace bellows.
